WESA MEMBER VOTING GUIDE

Anchor2026 COMMISSION ELECTIONS

NOMINATIONS are open from June 19 to July 10.

The following positions (two-year terms) for the WESA 2025 Commission are up for election, in accordance with the WESA Bylaws located in the WESA Governing Manual:

  1. Vice-Commissioner;
  2. Rules & Regulations Commissioner;
  3. Equipment Commissioner;
  4. Secretary Commissioner.

EXPECTATIONS

As a WESA Commission Member, you are expected to be available to attend a minimum of one commission meeting per month, typically on a weeknight, participate in ongoing discussions between meetings, answer questions from Members, and oversee the items assigned to the role for which you are elected.  For a description of each role, please see the WESA Governing Manual.

HOW TO NOMINATE YOURSELF

Please speak with a current or former member of the Commission to explore the duties and expectations of the position you are considering.  We are all volunteers and want to nurture the best possible experience for our fellow members.

Eligible WESA Members (that means everyone who has paid their membership fees, is assigned to a 2025 team as an active playing Member, or be an Associate or a Lifetime Member), may nominate themselves for any one of the above positions. All you need to do is:

  1.  Starting Thursday, June 17, 2025, and no later than Thursday 11:59 p.m. PT, July 10, 2025, send an email, indicating for which one position you would like to run, to the Electoral Officer(s) at Commission (at) WESA.net; 
  2. Include a short bio (no more than 600 words), that we will publish for everyone to see, explaining why you think you would be good at the position (you could include things like the number of years you have played, skills you think you would be good for the role, etc.); and
  3. Provide a high-resolution recent head & shoulders full face photo so even those people who are not familiar with your name, but think you are amazing, may still vote for you.

IMPORTANT: Should your bio AND headshot not be received by Thursday 11:59 p.m. PT, July 10,  2025, your nomination will not be included on the ballot.

COMMISSION VOTING INFO

Nominees will be announced no later than Thursday, July 17, 2025.

An online election with THREE days of voting, if applicable, will start from Thursday, July 24, continue Friday, July 25 & close at 11:59 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025.  Members will receive a separate email from ElectionBuddy.com to vote and can only vote once per member.
